February 2008

This blog begins 6 months after graduating as an actor. What have I done since graduating?

- Co-written (with 5 others) a murder mystery which is now ready to perform / take bookings (http://www.dropdeadtheatre.co.uk/)

- Rehearsed a comedy cabaret act (The Vogueabonds), which is now alsmot ready to perform and we have 3 dates booked - one 23rd March, and 2 during the Brighton Festival in May.

- Made a 1 minute film for Bafta 60 http://www.60secondsoffame.co.uk/bafta/sixtysec/_entry/0000000016f808e601174544381e1642/jsps/entry

- Did panto in the weeks running up to Christmas

- Some medical role-play work

- Moved into a flat on my own

- Moved 6 months later again, in with my boyfriend

Last week, I decided it was time to get an agent, and yesterday I got one, so that was easy! Thank you Daniel Dancey Associates.

I've been getting back into painting. My old work (2003) is at: http://www.pandemonia.org/. And coincidentally was contacted by a small TV programme asking if they could interview me. Might be fun, haven't decided yet whether I'll do it.

I've just discovered Google Page Creator, and been having fun making my own website: http://nicola.dane.googlepages.com/

Best acting books: Uta Haagen - Respect for Acting, Michael Caine - Acting in Film
