May 2010

Comedy improv performance with A Fish Called Improv http://www.afishcalledimprov.co.uk/ number two went very well at Latest Music Bar in Brighton. Performance number three on 20th at the same venue and number four at Cabaret on the Common in Stapleford.

The Vogueabonds have been invited to perform at the Cabaret Tent at Glastonbury for the third year in a row. We'll be performing on the Sunday.

I'm well into my training as a drama teacher for kids now. Exhausting, exciting and rewarding. Panto-meets-confidence-building-for-kids. Been practising my dance moves. Ahem.

Set up Brighton Actors' Network towards the end of April and we have our second meeting tomorrow night. First edition of the newsletter almost ready to go out.

This week is also medical roleplay week.

Saw Stephen Frost's Impro Allstars with Phil Jupitus last night which was great fun. Highlight was the Translator game - Lebanese hamster training using pineapples. Of course! Tonight going to see Rob Broderick's Hip Hop Scratch Pad.

Saturday going to see Theatre 21's first incarnation of the devised piece: "Expresso".

Today is one of those rare days that I've stopped long enough to notice how ridiculously tired I am.

- Some medical role-play work

- Moved into a flat on my own

- Moved 6 months later again, in with my boyfriend

Last week, I decided it was time to get an agent, and yesterday I got one, so that was easy! Thank you Daniel Dancey Associates.

I've been getting back into painting. My old work (2003) is at: http://www.pandemonia.org/. And coincidentally was contacted by a small TV programme asking if they could interview me. Might be fun, haven't decided yet whether I'll do it.

I've just discovered Google Page Creator, and been having fun making my own website: http://nicola.dane.googlepages.com/
